I just came across this beautiful example of substance, style, and performance converging without tradeoffs. Nau uses sustainable materials and practices as the core of its design philosophy. But, the style is light years beyond the Birkenstocks aesthetic. I like how they articulate their philosophy: "We believe great design has enormous power and we're trying to use it to change the world, one biopolymer fabric at a time."
