I came across two articles in the last week covering the marketing turnaround at M&S, the iconic British retailer. Both articles credited a TV campaign they billed as "food porn". As a former food marketer, I was definitely intrigued. The first ad in the series apparently boosted sales of the hero product by a whopping 3,500%. I couldn't find that one online, but here's another one in the series. It's a pretty simple formula, but definitely effective. And about as racy as a salad can get.
