This cartoon sprung fully formed from a great post from Guy Kawasaki. I always learn something from Guy's blog, so it's a tribute of sorts to put together a cartoon entirely inspired by one of his posts.
Twitter can be overwhelming at first, like drinking through a firehouse. It definitely helps to understand the different archetypes there. Seek out the Mavens and Mensches.
But, more importantly, consider the type of Twitter user you want to be. Evolve beyond simple lifestreaming. Become a Maven or Mensch yourself. This is particularly essential for Brands. Tone down the overt selling, and inspire consumers by offering them something of real value.
Guy has a useful Twitter 101 primer.

Funny. Nice work, Tom!
What's the name for Male Bitches? (I think the fourth one should be named different as to not isolate one gender. I guess I ought to mention it to Guy;)

I think that I've been all six at one time or another! I only hope that I have now become more of a mensch but that is for others to decide. :)

That is right on the money. I'd be thinking about how many people just copy their idols/A-List celebs, and do I really want tyo know what they are drinking/eating right now? Will need to review my approach I think!!

Tom, this cartoon taught me a personal lesson. I blogged about it here:

My New Year's Resolution is to be a mensch.
